A Champion for the Powerless: Charlie Ginn, Trial Lawyer

Charlie’s heroes have always been cowboys, but he wanted to follow in his family’s footsteps as a trial lawyer. He believes that a personal injury attorney gives hope to those who are silenced, powerless, and denied a voice. Charlie is a trial lawyer who champions the rights and interests of the powerless – standing as a shield against the unfair actions of those who want to take advantage of his clients.

The Equalizer

When working in front of a jury, a trial lawyer acts as the equalizer between the powerful and the powerless. Charlie’s passion is to stand up and fight for those silenced, ignored, or mistreated. He enjoys nothing more than achieving real-world results for clients with no place to turn and who desperately need help.

Education and Background

Charlie devoted his education and career to becoming the very best advocate for his clients. He graduated from Baylor University, majoring in History, before attending Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. While studying the law, Charlie participated in three National Mock Trial Teams, was a member of the Order of the Barristers, and was an officer in the legal fraternity Phi Alpha Delta.

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Baylor University
  • Law Degree: Baylor Law School, Waco, Texas

Former Assistant District Attorney: Experience on Both Sides of the Aisle

After graduating from Baylor Law, Charlie moved to Collin County to begin working and developing his trial skills, serving as an Assistant District Attorney for Collin County. It was a natural progression from helping to protect people from crime as an Assistant DA to helping to protect the injured from insurance companies and other corporate interests. As a personal injury attorney, he fights for the rights of the injured against entities who attempt to escape accountability after harming innocent people in McKinney, Collin County, and throughout the North Texas region.

Charlie has served as the Chairman of the Board for the State Bar of Texas, has held multiple vice presidencies for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and has been awarded the Reich Chandler Outstanding Advocate Award from the Texas Trial Lawyers Association for his unique combination and dedication to the pursuits of trial excellence, faith, and family. Charlie has also been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

A Commitment to Service, Based on Faith

A favorite scripture of Charlie’s is, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17. Charlie understands that his clients face challenging, stressful, and devastating consequences financially, physically, and emotionally. He believes that genuine relationships do not end after a phone call or a meeting but drive future actions, with the needs of his clients never forgotten or ignored. He takes his promises seriously and fights with an unrelenting focus on achieving justice and full compensation for the people he serves.
