Education and Background
Todd was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, where the close-knit community and values of independence and support inspired him to return and establish his legal career. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 1996, followed by his Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1999. From the beginning of his legal journey, Todd has remained focused on making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Professional Experience
Attorney Henderson’s legal career began at the Collin County District Attorney’s Office in McKinney, Texas, where he handled both misdemeanor and felony cases. His role quickly expanded as he became a misdemeanor chief, overseeing attorneys and managing court dockets. In 2003, Todd joined Baxter, Gibbs, Robison & Henderson, PLLC, where he practiced criminal defense and family law.
In 2009, Todd returned to his hometown of Amarillo, taking on the role of Assistant District Attorney at the 47th District Attorney’s Office. As a lead prosecutor in the 320th District Court, Todd managed caseloads, prepared for trials, and worked closely with law enforcement and the court system. He later opened his own practice, The Law Office of Todd Henderson, focusing on criminal defense and family law cases, where he continues to serve clients today.
In October 2022, Todd was appointed Associate Municipal Judge for the City of Amarillo. In this role, he presides over criminal trials and other court matters, including reviewing and signing warrants, further demonstrating his breadth of legal expertise.
